Steam Splitgate's success now cancels its release date because many fans want to bet
The portal shooter Splitgate has become a great success in Steam in recent weeks. The title is currently in a beta phase and is postponing its launch indefinitely. Apparently, developers are trying to do everything right.
What is happening there? The new Splitgate free shooting game unexpectedly celebrated great successes in its beta phase in Steam in recent weeks. The halo and portal mixture was very well received by the testers and provoked a great avalanche on the servers. The haste was so great that after the start of the beta, a large part of the development work was dedicated to increasing the capacity of the server.
The CEO of Studio, Ian Proulx, even said that the 110% of the approach is to improve the capacity of the server (through play3.de). That has already led to the postponement of the next-generation version and now it has also reached the full launch on the PC: the release date of Splitgate has been completely canceled at the moment.
Splitgate without release date, but you can continue betting
Why is there no longer a launch date? As with the first postponement of the launch, this time it is again the server's capabilities. In a press release sent next to us, the CEO PROUX says:
We focus on keeping the game stable for fans and gradually adjusting the capabilities of simultaneous players to demand to minimize the waiting time of players. We want to do this in the right way and we want to be prepared for a massive avalanche in the official launch as we continue to improve the quality of the beta version with frequent updates, additional features and improvements in server capabilities.

ProLx also states that the beta phase of Splitgate has been extended indefinitely by the new developments. So you can continue to relieve you in the battlefields, but the 10 million downloads in the first 30 days after the start of the open beta were simply too many for the small study.
The current exaggeration and expectations of a full launch should also be a reason. If Splitgate is now closing your servers and the finished game is in the market in a few weeks, many players would expect beta's problems to be resolved. At the moment, that does not seem feasible.
If you still do not know the crazy portal trigger, we will include a progress of the game here:

How successful is Splitgate? Beta started on May 27 and, at the beginning of August, developers had to process around 4,000 simultaneous players on servers. After the start of the advertising hype, up to 175,000 simultaneous players were on the servers or tried to enter the parties, according to a message from the 1047 Games developer study.
The peak of all time in Steam is 67,724 simultaneous players and also come the soldiers of the consoles. You can not even get closer to the great players in Steam. Games like Valheim, CS: Go or Pubg have already been able to accommodate hundreds of thousands of simultaneous players. However, this historical peak exceeds prominent competitors such as Destiny 2 (67,461 players), Final Fantasy 14 (65,329) and even approaches the success of Dinosaurs Ark (73,618) (through Steamcharts, starting on August 19).

How are things going now? Splitgate is developing the beta version even more and would like to take advantage of the current hurry for the game to grow. The full launch is not a problem at the moment and the developers of the next generation versions for consoles are not a priority either. If you enjoy the current version of the game, in addition to the queues, you can still vent in the battles of the portal.
For the full version, not only should there be enough server capacity available, but new scenarios should also be added. A great advertisement is scheduled for the Gamescom next week.
