Steam Hit Splitgate now strokes his release

Two Places at the Very Same Time is the third workshop album from Raydio, the team led by session guitarist/songwriter/producer Ray Parker Jr .

On Steam, the portal shooter splitgate has developed into a thick hit in recent weeks. The title is currently in a beta phase and shifts its release indefinitely. Apparently the developers try to do everything.

What's going on? The new free-to-play shooter Splitgate celebrated unexpectedly great successes in its beta phase in the last few weeks. The mixture of Halo and Portal is very good at the testers and led to the servers for a great crowd. The crowd was even so great that after the start of the beta, much of the development work for the enlargement of the server capacities went on it.

Studio CEO Ian Proulx even meant that 110% are their concentration on improving server capacity (via play3.de). This already led to the shifting of the Next-Gen version and now it also met the full release on the PC - the publication date of Splitgate is completely deleted for the time being.

splitgate without release date - but you can go further

Why is there no release date anymore? As with the first shift of the releases, this time it goes back to the server capacities. In a press message that the American side is screenrant, CEO Proulx says:

We focus on keeping the game for the fans stable and gradually adapting the capacities for simultaneous players to demand to minimize the waiting time of players. We want to do that in the right way and we would like to be prepared for a massive crowd at the official launch, while we further increase the quality of the beta with frequent updates, additional features and improving server capacities.

Proulx further executes that splitgate beta phase is extended by the new developments indefinitely. So you can continue to let off steam on the battlefields, but the 10 million downloads in the first 30 days after the start of the open beta were just too much for the small studio.

The current hype and expectations of a full release should also be a reason. If Splitgate is now running the servers and comes in a few weeks with the finished game on the market, many players would probably expect the beta problems to be solved. But this does not seem to be feasible.

If you do not know the wrong portal shooter, we'll tie you here a gameplay trailer:

How successful is SPLITGATE? Start of the beta was already on May 27th and until the beginning of August, the developers had to process the 4,000 simultaneous players on the servers. After the start of the hypes, up to 175,000 simultaneous players on the servers or have tried to come in matches, it was said in a communication of the developer studio 1047 games.

The Alltime peak on Steam is 67,724 simultaneous players and, on top of that, the soldiers come from the consoles. The big players of Steam are not up yet. Games like Valheim, CS: Go or PUBG already recorded several hundreds of thousands of simultaneous players. But nevertheless, with this alltime-peak prominent competitors such as Destiny 2 (67.461 players), Final Fantasy 14 (65,329) is overtaken and even approaches the Dino-Hit Ark (73,618) (Via Steamcharts - as of August 19th).

How to continue? Splitgate continues to develop the beta and would like to use the current journey to grow the game. The full release is not an issue for the time being and the developers of the Next-Gen versions for the consoles currently has no priority. If you enjoy the current version of the game, apart from the queues, you can continue to let off steam in the portal battles.

Incidentally, not only enough server capacities are available to the full release, but also new arenas are added. As part of the GamesCom next week, a great announcement is planned.
