Silentown's children challenge you to go to the woods, only

Independent horror games often like to focus on children's characters, as it is easier to immerse yourself in a hostile world when you are fundamentally helpless to respond. Of course, the other side of this trend is that children can get in trouble very easily.

The next title of Daedalic Games, Children of Silentown, asks you to put you in Lucy's place, a girl living in a village surrounded by forest. People have disappeared here, and Lucy now think she's elderly enough to investigate. Although the forest is supposed to be full of monsters, things can not be so dangerous there, is not it?

This new trailer does a great job by showing the adorably scary artistic style of Children of Silentown and Lucy's pretty gameplay sequences gaming, interacts with people and uses objects. It also draws attention to Lucy's ability to sing, which will be a key play mechanism, and on a nasty cat that will make the trip from Lucy more difficult.

More importantly, it also includes disturbing images of a wooded road that has been inexplicably stained with red - and what can be brilliant eyes looking through a veil of red trees. Whatever happens in the woods, developers seem determined to warn the player to stay out of that. But go, tell us not to go in the forest, it's basically the same thing that we challenge to enter, right?
