Chiefs lose again, Ravens win thanks to record fields

Two interceptions of Mahomes and a courageous call: Chiefs last in AFC West

Next defeat for the Kansas City Chiefs! One week after the 35:36 among the Baltimore Ravens, the title candidate also moved the shorter against the Los Angeles Chargers. In a high-voltage closing phase, guests from the end of Field Goal compared to 24:24. Star Quarterback Patrick Mahomes came back to the field - and threw the ball in the arms of Chargers-Safety Alohi Gilman. His second interception and overall the fourth turnover of the Chiefs on this day. The chargers were back on the ball. And Headcoach Brandon Staley hit a little later at 4 & 9 the bold decision to play the last attempt. The courage was rewarded, after a pass-interference penalty was QuaterBack Justin Herbert just before the end zone.

Instead of turning out their last timeout to run their last timeout, drain the time and at the end of the clock to achieve a Field Goal, Staley let his playmaker in the first attempt to throw the touchdown pass to Mike Williams. Although the Chargers now led 30:24 (Kansas City Tristan Vizcaino missed the extra point), but Mahomes was allowed to go back to the field for 32 seconds. He could not punish the discussional Game Management of the Chargers. L.a. won at 30:24, for QB Herbert (281 yards, 4 TD, 0 int) undoubtedly the greatest succession of his still young career. The Chiefs stand after three games at 1: 2 and thus on the last place of AFC West behind the Chargers (2: 1).

Tucker sets new record! Ravens pull the head from the sling

For the ravens there would have been a week after the coup against the Chiefs almost a bad awakening. At the Siegless Detroit Lions so far, the favorite was 16:17 behind. Seconds before the end, the Ravens had no choice but to taste it from 66 yards with a Field Goal. And the attempt of Kansas City Justin Tucker actually jumped from the latte through the rods to the rejuvenated 19: 17 away win. It was the longest Field Goal of NFL history, the previous record had achieved Matt Prater (on Sunday elsewhere in focus) in December 2013 from 64 yards. Quarterback Lamar Jackson had made Tuckers attempt with a 36-yard passport on Sammy Watkins at 4 & 19 seven seconds before the end. At Lions, Rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown caught a pass for two yards spacious gain.

Lawrence pays further apprenticeship - Garrett makes Fields hard

For top draft picking Trevor Lawrence, the entry into the NFL will continue to be bumped. Also in the third game, the quarterback hope subbed two interceptions. Thus, Jacksonville Jaguars lost the Arizona Cardinals with 19:31, though Jamal Agnew succeeded a 109-yard touchdown. It was (cross-season) already the 18th defeat in a row of Jaguars.

Lawrence was not the only rookie quarterback, who had a heavy booth in Week 3: Justin Fields was taken right in Cleveland from the Browns at 6:26 of his Chicago Bears in Cleveland. For nine times, Fields was brought to the ground, alone Myles Garrett posted 4.5 sacks at the Browns. Franchise record!

And there was also Mac Jones. The Rookie Quarterback of the New England Patriots on 13:28 against the New Orleans Saints underlyed three interceptions, two of which resulted in touchdowns of the opponent.
